Platinum

Platinum is a game feature that is bought with actual money (dollars). 5000 plat costs 5 dollars. Plat is a feature that keeps the game of OgreIsland free. Features that can be accessed with platinum at the moment are houses, tents, and passage into wastelands.

Buying and Locating Platinum Homes Tents The Wasteland

Again, buying platinum supports the makers of the game and keeps it free to us players. Platinum that you have on your account can be accessed by all of your characters. If you would like to buy plat...go here.

Once you have bought platinum allow 10-15 minutes for it to be added to your account. I recommend logging out and shutting down your browser while you wait. After this time has passed, simply play the game. The amount of platinum you have left in your account is shown near the top center of your screen (top left-center to be exact) by a silver coin with a P on it... look below.

Houses are used to store items in (they are like a giant bank). You can lock down your house so others can view your stuff, but not take it. You could also just lock the front door, and not let anyone in. Homes have customizable flag colors and messages too.

To buy a house:

1. Log into your account and choose the character which you want to have the house belong to.

2. Click the "Account" button once you are logged in.

3. Click the "House Tickets are now available!!" link.

4. Read all of the notes on the right side of the column and then select where you would like to have your home on the left. Finally click the "Gimme My Ticket!" button.

5. Once you have your house ticket (its not an actuall object, it won't show up anywhere) log into the game and find a lot for sale. (You can find an open lot by looking for an area like so... below). Then click the sign and a window will pop up asking whether or not you want to purchase the lot.

6. Once you have purchased your lot, start constructing your house. (To build a house it requires the carpentry and lumberjack skills. Many other players will happily help you if you ask politely in world chat). To learn more about how to build a house, go to the carpentry guide.

Tents are used as portable spawn points. Depending on the size of tent you choose, small, medium, or large, you will get different benefits. To buy a tent, find a tent vendor. Use the Coordinate Mapper to find a tent vendor.

Small Tent- costs 4 plat, and 400 gold. You get 2 spawns from the place were your tent is placed, and health/mana fully restored.

Medium Tent- costs 10 plat, and 1000 gold. You get 5 spawns from the place were your tent is placed, and health/mana fully restored.

Grand Tent- costs 20 plat, and 2000 gold. You get 10 spawns from the place were your tent is placed, and health/mana fully restored.

The wasteland is an area that requires plat to enter. In the wastelands there are many monsters and items you would not be able to find in the free area. To get into the wastelands, find one of the three gates.

Entrance to Wastelands- costs 2 plat, no gold.

To get into the wastelands click on the large gate. It will then ask if you are sure you want to pay 2 platinum. Click yes, and you are in. You are then in the wastelands until you die, or you leave. There is not a time limit.
